WomensTrust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New Hampshire and is registered as a non-government organization (NGO) in Ghana, West Africa. With its main focus on microlending, the U.S. team works closely with our on-the-ground staff in Pokuase who have responsibility for loan administration and day-to-day management of our integrated health and education programs. Organizational oversight is provided by members of our Board whose members are located in geographic proximity to Wilmot as well as in New York and California.
We have now built a foundation of trust in Pokuase, Ghana. And as we celebrate our successes over the first seven years, we envision even greater impact going forward. WomensTrust is constantly reviewing and renewing our program goals and strategizing to maintain our objective of sustainability.
Be sure to read Founder, Dana Dakin’s Story of how she traveled to Ghana in 2003 on the occasion of her sixtieth birthday to find a village and start a microlending program.
If you are interested in donating to any of the programs that WomensTrust supports in the Village of Pokuase please see our Giving Opportunities for details. All levels of gifts are appreciated.
We sincerely hope to inspire you.
